Kitchen Knives
I sharpen all brands and styles of kitchen knife. From western style paring, boning, filleting, carving and bread knives to Japanese style santoku, gyuto, nakiri and sujihiki knives. I specialise in premium brands such as Wüsthof, Shun, Global, Victorinox, IO Shen and Zwilling/Henckels.

I don't recommend using pull through sharpeners on your treasured or valuable knives. This method may inadvertently scratch their finish, remove excessive amounts of metal from their edges and reduce their lifespan.

Sharpening serrated knives may slightly reduce the height of the serrations.
Sorry but I do not sharpen ceramic knives.
Sharpening prices include minor repairs to tips and bolsters. Loose knives are returned safely wrapped.

Blades are wiped down with isopropyl alcohol after sharpening, but please wash your knives before use to remove all traces of stropping compound/emulsion.
EDC, Hunting, Pocket and Other Knives
I also sharpen hunting knives, EDC knives, pen knives, multi tools and pocket knives. These knives can vary greatly in size and quality so I need to see your knife before I can give you a price to sharpen it. I can also provide a 2000 grit mirror polish to give your edge that finishing touch.

Knife Blade Repairs
The cost of minor repairs are included in the basic sharpening price. I can remove larger nicks and chips, restore broken off tips, re-heel (straighten the edge of your knife so that it can rest flat against a surface) and reduce bolsters for a small additional charge. I can even recut serrations if they are badly worn.
If a blade is severely damaged or broken, it may not be salvageable. I can always take a look and give you an estimate for the cost of repair. Sorry but I do not carry out repairs to handles at this time.
